Hijabs created with sustainability in mind

At Silq Rose, we avoid purchasing stock fabric and do not work with wholesalers which means that we are able to go to great lengths to produce high quality hijabs, using natural fabrics; ethically and sustainably, monitoring a large fraction of the supply chain. Every hijab that we retail is designed and developed exclusively by us and for us, to meet our standards and vision, all in line with our brand values; from design to final production.

As much as possible, the fibres are sustainably sourced and always ethically made, making them a better choice for your health, environment and communities. High wearing comfort, breathability, being friendly to your skin, and having a pleasant feel, are all prerequisites, upon which we base our high-end hijabs. Our hijabs are not made up of harmful synthetics such as polyester, nylon, acrylic and unsustainable sources of rayon and viscose, which are readily available on the market. Our production processes avoid the use of toxic dyes, harmful chemicals, including petrochemical and carcinogens, which can cause significant environmental damage and health issues.

Natural & Innovative Fibres

Cotton Twill

Cotton Twill Hijab

Our cotton twill hijabs are made using 100% plant derived fabric, making them a superior choice for your health, body, the environment and the workers involved in the production process. These hijabs are biodegradable and easily recycled. The fabric itself is absorbent, breathable and transmits moisture away from the body allowing maximum wear and comfort.

Soft Touch Jersey Hijab

Our soft touch jersey hijabs are made using a bio-based innovative fibre, which is made from 100% renewably sourced wood pulp; producing a soft, high strength fabric. The fabric that we use has a vast source for its raw material, making it more environmentally friendly.

Silk Cashmere Hijab

Cashmere is 100% natural, renewable, and most importantly biodegradable. Furthermore, the fibre in cashmere becomes softer with age making it long-lasting and durable. Silk is also biodegradable and a renewable material, with a low environmental impact which can also go on to produce useful compost.

Due to the fibres used, our hijabs are durable and long-lasting. The different materials used and their varying weights make our range suitable for all year round styling. We strive to produce lightweight, breathable and extremely comfortable hijabs designed with sustainability in mind.
